Activists Deliver Score On American Health Care Act To Tenney’s Office
Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi, along with local healthcare workers and advocates, are calling on Congresswoman Claudia Tenney to vote no on the American Health Care Act.
The group delivered the Congressional Budget Office score on the AHCA to Tenney's district office today.
The CBO report shows 23 million Americans would lose health care coverage under the health care act.
Steve Wood of ACR Health says they've enrolled almost 13,000 people in the Mohawk Valley through the Affordable Care Act, including over 8,000 in the Utica-area
Wood says those individuals along with those with pre-existing conditions would loose coverage.
According to the Governor's Office, the plan will leave 2.7 million New Yorkers without health care coverage, and cost New York a total of $6.9 billion.
