Utica, NY (WIBX) - In preparation for this year's Boilermaker Road Race, the American Heart Association wants to teach people a valuable lesson.
This Friday and Saturday, during the Boilermaker Health and Fitness Expo at Mohawk Valley Community College, the organization will teach those attending the art of Hands-Only CPR.

The two step process involves calling 911 and applying hard and fast pressure to the victim's chest until professionals arrive.

Free training sessions will take place in Room 116 of MVCC's Alumni College Center from noon until 5 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The AHA estimates 70 percent of Americans have no CPR training or have had their skills decline.
