The Fitness Mill Health Club in New York Mills is now under new ownership. The business once owned by Al Calogero has been sold to Alex Carbone.

Carbone has purchased the property with the intent of breathing new life into the fitness club. According to a release, "The change of ownership promises ambitious revitalization, backed by roll-out plans for cutting-edge new equipment and facility upgrades." Carbone wants to stress that current members will not see any changes to the value of their membership.

According to the same release Carbone says,

Al Calogero is one of the area’s most successful fitness icons. His expertise together with my resources are a perfect match in bringing the locally owned and established business back to member expectations.  With the solid foundation built by Al and the current staff, I look forward to revitalizing The Fitness Mill, providing the next level of services and amenities to our members.

Carbone tells WIBX that he will still maintain his role with Lithia Motors. He did not purchase the building that houses the Fitness Mill, only the business. The Fitness Mill first opened in 1993.
