BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A man charged in a fatal shooting inside Buffalo's famous Anchor Bar has been sentenced to four years in prison in an unrelated domestic violence case.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says 25-year-old Gregory Ramos, of Niagara Falls, was sentenced Wednesday in state Supreme Court in Buffalo for choking the mother of his two young children into unconsciousness on a city street last May 21.

Authorities say a day earlier he was involved in the fatal shooting of a kitchen worker at the Anchor Bar, known for inventing Buffalo-style chicken wings. A second man, Jorge Suarez, has also been charged in the Anchor Bar slaying.

Last month Ramos was convicted of unrelated federal firearm and drug charges.
