You have heard the saying "a few bad apples spoil the bushel," but are there more than a few in politics?

Or do politicians just come under more scrutiny than the rest of us?  In light of some very well-publicised scandals involved the New York State Legislature Governor Andrew Cuomo has appointed a commission to investigate politicians and elected officials.
