New York Army National Guard helicopter crews and four Blackhawk helicopters will conduct hoist rescue training with local sheriff and fire departments on Oneida Lake tomorrow morning.

The training will take place in the area of Frenchman Island and will begin at 9:30.

The helicopter crews and sheriff and local fire departments will exercise a scenario in which a fire department rescue boat retrieves a victim in the water and calls for assistance from a National Guard helicopter.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office will be among the agencies taking part in the training.
