Authorities at this hour say they are still trying to free a six year-old boy being held captive by a gunman in Dale County, Alabama.

The incident started Tuesday evening, January 29, 2013 near a church in Midland City, located in Dale County, Alabama.

Sheriffs said 66-year old bus driver Charles Albert Poland, Jr. was killed by the gunman, who reportedly told the other children to get off the bus before shooting Poland as many as four times.

CNN affiliate WSFA is reporting that the gunman asked for two children, and grabbed the one child as he fainted.
