It's been a rollicking year for the news business, and we're sure that next year will be jam packed with presidential election coverage, international affairs and reports of wild weather incidents the world over. But for now, we'd like to take a quick look back at the best reason of all to watch the news: the bloopers.
It's not hard to see how these things happen. There are a lot of news programs on at any given moment -- local coverage, national teams, global reporting, etc. -- and even though these folks are professionals, everyone is guilty of the occasional error in judgment. Just ask the guy who thought it would be a good idea to make a "Uranus" joke on live television.
