Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi together with the Alliance for Quality Education are aiming to get schools in New York State funded evenly and put an end to education spending cuts. Right now Brindisi says the gap between the richest and poorest students across the state is more than $8,000 per student.

The AQE's Chad Radock says it is time to make sure Albany knows that more cuts to education will not be accepted.

Radock added the AQE is planning a rally for equity, education and opportunity in Albany on January 14, 2014.

At the forum parents were given postcards to send to Governor Cuomo's office asking to prevent anymore cuts and invest in school improvement .
