Utica Councilman Jerome Mckinsey is announcing a 'Shots Fired' forum in two weeks to discuss the recent spike in gun violence and homicides in the city of Utica.

Mckinsey is inviting members of the Utica Police Department, district attorney's office, other council members and the Youth Common Council to add their perspective on the issue.

Mckinsey says he wants Utica residents to be able to feel safe in their City and he believes that everyone can do something to help.

The forum will be held at the Thea Bowman Auditorium at the Refugee Center on Eagle Street at 6:00 on December 19.
