Congressman Anthony Brindisi was at Smith Post in Rome on Friday to announce his committee assignments and outline his legislative priorities for the year.

The freshman Congressman has been appointed to the U.S. House Committees on Agriculture and Veterans' Affairs.

Brindisi says his top priority as a member of Congress is listening to his constituents and doing everything he can to solve their problems.

“That’s the same approach I will take to the Agriculture and Veterans’ Affairs Committees. That’s why I am setting up two advisory councils made up of folks from the district who can help guide my work and priorities in Congress. My team and I will meet regularly with our Veterans Advisory Council and our Agriculture Advisory Council to hear directly from those on the frontlines about the challenges they are facing and the work that needs to be done. I know there is a lot to do.” said Brindisi.
