Watertown, NY (WIBX) - A Calcium, NY man was arrested and charged in the robbery of the Kinney Drugs Pharmacy in Watertown. According to State Police, 36-year-old Albert Languet 3rd, held up the Pharmacy on February 20, 2011, at around 10:00 a.m., demanding specific controlled substances. They say he handed a note to the Pharmacist, suggesting he was armed, and subsequently made off with the items he demanded.

State Police say they credit the use of Forensics during their investigation to apprehend the suspect they say admitted to the crime during their interview yesterday. They say Languet also admitted to robbing the same store in November of last year. According to the report, during the February robbery, Languet partially concealed his face however, investigators say they utilized resources from the New York State Police Forensic Investigation Center and the Forensic Media Services, and were able to develop digital images of the suspect, which lead to his identification and subsequent arrest.

Officials say that an investigation into the November 2010 robbery of the same Kinney Drugs at Seaway Plaza, that Languet admitted his involvement in, is still under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

NYS Police charged the suspect with 3rd Degree Robbery for the February incident. Languet was arraigned in the Town of Watertown Court, and was committed to the Jefferson County PSB in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, pending further action by the court. State Police say they were assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department Detective Division, who will be filing additional charges specific to their investigation.
