A more than 600-foot-long cargo ship has run aground in the middle of the St. Lawrence River.

The Watertown Daily Times reports the incident occurred in the overnight hours Wednesday into Thursday, and that it occurred in the middle of the river - between Fishers Landing and Thousand Island Park.

No injuries, damage to the ship or pollution were reported.

The cargo ship - the M/V Pacific Huron - was transporting soybean to Montreal, WDT reported..

The Coast Guard and St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation are investigating.
