Rome Fire officials have released the cause of last week's fire on Turin Street that claimed the life of a seven-year old boy.

Chief Ronald Brement says based on the fire scene examination and interviews with occupants, the fire was the result of "accidental youth fire play."

He says all other accidental causes have been ruled out.

Ryan St. Andrew died from injuries suffered in the fire.

His grandfather, 66-year old Thomas Gazitano and his 3-year old cousin, Christopher Fairchild were not injured.
