Utica Police say two local pubs were ticketed for violating Alcohol and Beverage Control Laws. After an investigation by the State Liquor Authority and UPD, the Chatterbox on 239 Genesee street in Utica, and Columbia Doghouse on 500 Columbia street in Utica were ticketed for non-compliance.

Officials say the investigations were conducted as part of their effort to enforce compliance and in response to complaints from the public.
Compliance checks were conducted at several other taverns in the City however, only the Chatterbox and Columbia Doghouse were ticketed. The violations are now under review by the State Liquor Authority Legal Division.
Compliance checks were conducted at the following taverns:
  • The Auburn Bar and Grill located at 14 Auburn Avenue
  • Shorty's located at 1899 Genesee Street
  • M and O Bar located at 1116 Whitesboro Street
  • The Columbia Doghouse located at 500 Columbia Street
  • The Chatterbox located at 239 Genesee Street
  • Two J's located at 613 Rutger Street
