The City of Rome has recently launched an app called RomeNY311.

Users can report an issue, navigate the City Hall directory, view and pay tax bills, and link to the city's website and social media platforms.

There are 26 different categories to report issues, ranging from potholes and water problems to abandoned vehicles and animal related issues

“RomeNY311is another initiative that helps to bring the city government closer to our citizens. With the ability to pick from 26 different areas, issues will be logged and then tracked by department to ensure that tasks are dealt with in a timely manner. From this point forward, any citizen reporting a problem by telephone will also have that issue logged into the 311 tracking system to be followed through to completion. The City of Utica has had great success with their 311 implementation and we hope for the same here in Rome,” said Mayor Jacqueline Izzo.

The free app is available for iOS and Android devices

Rome is officially unveiling its new website today.
