Clayville Man Arrested After Crashing Into County Vehicle

A Clayville man is in hot water after hitting a Herkimer County Highway Department vehicle.

State Police responded to the scene of a two-car crash in the Town of Litchfield Thursday morning.

An investigation revealed the County vehicle was on the shoulder of Berberick Road conducting maintenance with amber emergency lights activated.

A pickup being driven by 26-year-old Anthony Bonanza struck the rear of the county vehicle and the four occupants were sent to various hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Bonanza was arraigned at the town of German Flatts Court for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and will reappear in Litchfield Town Court at a later date.
