CNY Residents Ask Congress To Repeal The Sequester
About 40 people held a vigil in downtown Utica to ask Congress to immediately repeal Sequestration.
Local residents and representatives from labor and human services organizations marched outside the office of Congressman Richard Hanna.
John Furman, President of Central New York Citizens in Action, says sequester will hit this area hard because many residents rely on federally funded programs.
Utica was one of seven communities upstate which participated in the March 20th Day of Action to oppose Sequestration.
