CNY Residents Organize To Oppose Trump Agenda
A coalition of local, state and national organizations are launching the Campaign of Resistance against President-elect Donald Trump in Central New York.
They held a rally on Thursday the Utica Public Library.
John Furman of Central New York Citizens in Action says local residents will be hurt by Trump's policies. Furman says Trump's proposals to privatize Medicare and cut Social Security and Safety Net benefits will have a very harmful impact on the lives of ordinary Central New Yorkers.
The groups are organizing buses from Clinton, Syracuse and Binghamton to take residents to Washington, DC for Inauguration Day protests.
They'll also be holding a Counter-Inaugural rally on December 21st at the DeSales Center in Utica.
