Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi and community members gathered outside of the State Office Building in Utica today to back the Demand Democracy platform.

They say the agenda, if enacted, would overhaul voting, ethics and campaign finance laws.

Brindisi says he stands in strong support of the Demand Democracy agenda, which is endorsed by more than 40 organizations statewide.

Groups including Central New York Citizens in Action, Citizen Action of New York and Common Cause New York are calling for the action by the state legislature before the end of the session next week.

A statewide Demand Democracy day of action is planned for Monday, June 13th

More information on the campaign is available at demanddemocracy.org.
