Common Council Proposes Cutting Its Members
Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica Councilman might be talking himself out of a job...and that's a good thing, he says.
Citing the fact that the Oneida County Board of Legislators has cut its membership, Councilman-at-Large Jim Zecca says that the U.S. Census figures dictate that the Utica Common Council do the same.
He says that the Council can do without two of its at-large members and save about $30,000 a year in the process.
The resolution is up for a vote tomorrow night.
