Compassion Coalition Cuts Ribbon On New ‘Your Bargain Grocer’

A ribbon cutting was held on Monday for Compassion Coalition's "Your Bargain Grocer."

The new 12,000 square foot, state-of the-art grocery store is located on Lincoln Avenue in West Utica.

The facility includes a commercial kitchen to prepare and  provide healthy, ready-to-eat meals.  It will also support the creation of 10 new jobs.

Compassion Coalition invested $3.5 million into the new facility, which is ten times the size of their original location on Lafayette Street.

Empire State Development has agreed to provide up to $600,000 through a performance-based capital grant, recommended by the Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council during Round V of the Governor's regional council initiative.
