Connecticut Teen Leads State Police On Chase In Stolen Car
An 18-year-old Connecticut man has been arrested for leading Troopers on a high speed chase in a stolen vehicle.
State Police say, Troopers were running stationary radar on Route 12 near Pritchard Road when a black Cadillac passed them going 82 miles-per-hour.
When Troopers tried to pull the driver over, the vehicle accelerated to evade police and a chase ensued.
The vehicle then turned down Quarry Road in Port Leyden where it hit a chain that crossed the roadway. The suspect then fled on foot and his vehicle, still in park, rolled 19 feet backward and crashed into a State Police patrol car.
The suspect was located a short time later and taken into custody. Police believe the teen stole the vehicle in New Haven, Connecticut and was driving to Utica. He is facing several charges.
