ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say they're looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a police chase that ended in a crash on an Albany street.

State police say a trooper tried to pull over a motorist who failed to stop at a red light in the city around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday. The driver eventually entered the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 with two troopers in pursuit.

Police say the driver exited the highway, drove onto Henry Johnson Boulevard and turned onto Third Street, where the troopers halted their pursuit.

The car then crashed into a vehicle at an intersection, injuring two people in the second vehicle.

Troopers say the driver then fled on foot.

The accident remains under investigation.
