Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed his “Enough is Enough” legislation to combat sexual assault on college and university campuses statewide.

The new law requires all colleges to adopt a set of comprehensive procedures and guidelines, including a uniform definition of affirmative consent and a statewide amnesty policy.

It also expands access to law enforcement to ensure the safety of all students attending colleges in New York State.

The legislation was first proposed by the Governor in January and will extend the preventive policy and protections adopted by SUNY campuses to all university campuses statewide.

Cuomo was joined at today's bill signing by House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi.  Pelosi says campus sexual assault is "an all-hands-on-deck epidemic in America."
