If you like to laugh and don't have plans for New Year's Eve, check out The First Night of Funny at the Stanley Theatre.

Featured among those comics is the very funny, Dave Cooperman. Cooperman, a.k.a. Coop, uses personal experiences from his marriage and "thought-provoking humor" to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Cooperman started out writing his own plays, formed a college comedy troop and has directed several other plays and productions. But, he's best known for his high energy and ability to captivate an audience for minutes.

Among his top billings include Zanies in Nashville, The Improv in Washington, DC, and Carolines, one of the most famous comedy stops in New York City.

And to top it all off? Tom from the "Bob and Tom Show" thinks he's funny.
