Derek Jeter Set To Begin Rehab Assignment In Scranton Saturday

The Captain is another step closer to returning to the Yankees.

Derek Jeter is scheduled to begin his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders tonight, hosting Lehigh Valley at 7:05.

Jeter has been sidelined since last October after breaking his ankle twice. He twisted and broke it the first time in the ALCS against Detroit, then was diagnosed with a fracture near the initial break this past April.
