R.A. Dickey returned to the form Mets fans had seen in the first half of the season, tossing a complete game with ten strikeouts to lift his club to a 6-1 victory over the Marlins in Thursday's matinee at Citi Field, and snapping the Mets nine game home losing streak.

Dickey (15-3) became the NL's first 15-game winner, allowing one run and five hits in his third complete game of the year, helping the Mets avoid a three game sweep.

Andres Torres led the Met offense with three hits on the day, to go along with three RBI's and two runs scored, including his second homer of the season - a solo shot off Marlins starter Josh Johnson in the sixth inning.

Ruben Tejada, Mike Baxter, David Wright and Josh Thole each contributed two hits, with Thole adding two RBI's and Wright pushing across another.

The loss sets Johnson back to 7-8 on the year after six innings of three earned on eight hits.

Jose Reyes' 0 for 4 day at the plate ended his hitting streak at 26 games.

The Mets open a series with the surging Atlanta Braves beginning on Friday night at Citi Field.
