BOLTON, N.Y. (AP) — Officials say they'll resume searching Wednesday morning for the body of a 42-year-old New York City man who is believed to have drowned in Lake George.

Fire officials in the town of Bolton say authorities received a report Tuesday afternoon that a man had gone underwater and never resurfaced.

Warren County authorities say the man had been boating with his girlfriend, his son, and his girlfriend's daughter. He began experiencing cramps while swimming.

The man's family unsuccessfully tried to reach him with floating life preservers when he became distressed.

The depth of water in that part of the Adirondack lake ranges from 40 feet to 100 feet.

Divers suspended the search Tuesday evening.
