Do you take the religion of a candidate into consideration when casting your vote?

Dr. Ben Carson is getting some criticism for a comment he made this weekend on NBC's "Meet the Press."  Carson said that although he was open to the possibility of voting for an Islamic congressman, he would not support a Muslim for president, based on religion.

The retired neurosurgeon says that he believes that Muslims beliefs are not in line with the Constitution of the United States.  Critics such as Democratic candidate and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders have taken issue with Carson's comments, saying that they amount to discrimination.
