The wind and ice storm that swept through Central New York this week is still impacting many in Oneida and Herkimer County. On Wednesday there were over 10,000 without power for most of the day. National Grid has worked to correct most of the issues, but some are still without power. One local school has even closed for the day to an outage.

National Grid expects that they will finally have the remaining issues solved by Noon on Thursday, however Dolgeville Central Schools contacted WIBX to inform people that classes will be cancelled, as a result. The majority of issues that still remain in Oneida County are in the hardest hit areas of Remsen, Trenton, and Steuben. Overall there are over 100 people affected in Oneida County, and over 400 in Herkimer County.

To see if your area is facing any outages you can always visit the National Grid website's Power Outage Map.
