IBOPE Zogby Poll Finds Positive Attitude Toward The Irish

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A recent IBOPE Zogby International poll on the Irish cultural celebration taking place tomorrow, finds that one in three U.S. adults will be wearing green on St. Patrick's Day.

The survey also looked at American attitudes toward the Irish and their holiday, and according to the findings 42-percent say they plan to take part in the celebration while, 8-percent will eat an Irish meal; 12-percent say they plan on drinking an Irish beverage, and 9-percent say they plan to do so at an Irish Pub.

Overall, the survey conducted during the first week of March, finds that 79-percent of Americans say they have a favorable opinion of the Irish. Also, the poll find that 12-percent of U.S. likely voters say they have visited Ireland and 28-percent say they plan to visit the country for the first time or again.
