Education Advocates Deliver Petitions To Griffo

Education advocates delivered petitions to Senator Joseph Griffo's office at the State Office Building in Utica on Friday.

They're calling on Griffo to reject Governor Andrew Cuomo's education agenda and restore funding to schools.

Members of the Alliance for Quality Education, the New York State United Teachers Union and Opt-Out Central New York, along with parents, teachers and students, took part in the rally.

They say it's time for Griffo to stand with students, not Cuomo.

Education is one of the sticking points in the ongoing state budget negotiations.
