The campaigning is over and now it's time for the voters to decide.

Today is Election Day 2016 and along with the Presidential election, there are also some big races on the local ballot.

Republican Claudia Tenney, Democrat Kim Myers and Independent candidate Martin Babinec face off in the hotly contested race for New York's 22nd Congressional District seat.  The winner will take over for Richard Hanna, who's stepping down at the end of the year.

In other key races, Arlene Feldmeier, Brian Miller and Maria Kelso are running for the 101st District State Assembly seat being vacated by Claudia Tenney.

Rob Bauer and Michael Arcuri are running for Oneida County Court Judge and in Herkimer County, incumbent District Attorney Jeffery Carpenter faces a challenge from former DA Michael Daley.

Utica residents will be asked to decide on a 15-year plan to pave the city's streets.

Polls will be open today from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
