Fatal ATV Accident In Salisbury

Salisbury, NY (WIBX) - One person is dead and another injured following a weekend ATV crash.

32-Year old James Siver of Salisbury was driving his Honda ATV on Bingham Mill Road Friday night when he veered off the road and hit a tree.

His passenger, 26-year old Leah Marie Holtz from Salisbury, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Siver was air-lifted to St. Elizabeth's hospital with injuries to both of his legs and hip.

State Police say that both Siver and Holtz were wearing helmets but speed does appear to have been a factor in the accident.

New York State Police were assisted by the Salisbury Fire Department.
