The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal three-vehicle accident on Route 5 in the Town of Lenox.

Deputies say a woman was killed when she collided head-on with a grain truck Monday afternoon.

The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries. The driver of a third vehicle was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

The name of the victim has not been released.  The Sheriff's Office is expected to release more information later today.

A portion of Route 5 was closed to traffic for several hours as crews cleaned up diesel fuel that was spilled from the truck.

UPDATED 8/18/15 12:15 pm- The Madison County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the woman killed in Monday afternoon's accident on Route 5 in the Town Of Lenox.

49-year old Lynn Kurz of East Syracuse died after her car collided head-on with a grain truck owned by Pohl's Feed in Verona. Deputies say Kurz was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the truck suffered non-life threatening injuries. A third vehicle was involved in the accident and sustained minor damage.

Authorities say no tickets will be issued and no charges are pending.
