Hatrford, CT (WIBX) - Brandon Triche lead No. 17 Syracuse with 16 points and the Orange got back in the win column with a 66-58 victory on the road over the 7th ranked Connecticut Huskies.

Entering Tuesday's game, the Orange face the possibility of a fifth straight loss, something the team hasn't done in more than three decades. 

Rick Jackson had 13 points to go along with 13 rebounds for Syracuse (19-4, 6-4 Big East). Kris Joseph had an off night, shooting just 3 of 11 from the floor, finishing with 11 points.

Jeremy Lamb scored 22 for the Huskies (17-4, 5-4 Big East), who have lost back to back contests.

Jim Boeheim (847) and Jim Calhoun (840) have a combined 1,687 wins between them. The previous record was 1,665, set during a game in 2006 when Texas Tech's Bob Knight faced Oklahoma State's Eddie Sutton.
