A Sunday afternoon fire caused extensive damage to the interior of the Dollar Tree Store on Mohawk Street in Utica.
When Utica fire crews arrived on the scene, they found heavy black coming from the front of the building and a flames were visible in the rear of the store.

It took firefighters about an hour-and-half to bring the fire under control.

Some adjourning businesses sustained smoke damage.

There were no injuries.

The fire started in the rear of the store.

The cause is under investigation.
