Former Hells Angels VP Gets 25 Years For Drug Trafficking

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A former leader of the Hells Angels in Rochester has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for drug trafficking.

Federal authorities say 67-year-old James McAuley Jr. of Oakfield is also prohibited from associating with the motorcycle club for five years after his release.

McAuley was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Rochester, where he pleaded guilty to trafficking in methamphetamine.

Prosecutors say that for nearly a decade while McAuley was vice president of the Rochester Hells Angels, he also was the leader of a western New York operation that sold meth obtained in California.

McAuley is among 10 Hells Angels members and associates charged in the case. All have pleaded guilty.
