Ilion Man Arrested Following Lengthy ‘Crack’ Cocaine Investigation

An Ilion man is in police custody following an extensive investigation in Ilion and the surrounding areas.

Accoding to New York State Police, members of the Community Narcotics Enforcement Team were assisted by Ilion Police in serving multiple search warrants.

As a result, 42-year-old Shawn R. Adams was found to allegedly be in possession of a quantity of "crack" cocaine police believe he had the intent to sell.

Over $4,000 cash, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials and a vehicle belonging to Adams were also seized in the raid.

Adams was arraigned and remanded to Herkimer County Jail without bail consideration and may face other charges.
