Former Trooper And Great American Irish Festival Founder Dies

A former New York State Trooper and founder of the Great American Irish Festival has passed away.

Matthew Sullivan died over the weekend following a cardiac event.  He was 49.

Calling hours for Sullivan will take place on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors on French Road in Utica.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes.
