Former UPD Captain Dies

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Utica Police Department has announced the death of former UPD Captain Edward Luley.

Luley passed away on Monday at the age of 95.

He was appointed to the Utica Police Department in 1948 and retired in 1975.

Luley was assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division for his entire career and was named Superior Officer of the Year in 1971.
