Four School Districts To Vote On Merger
Ilion, NY (WIBX) - Residents will head to the polls tomorrow to vote on the proposed merger of the Ilion, Herkimer, Frankfort-Schuyler and Mohawk School Districts.
Ilion School District Superintendent Cosimo Tangorra says the four district superintendents neither support or oppose the merger.
He says whether to merge or not is a community decision.
The advisory referendum is the first of two that would be required for the districts to merge.
If residents in all four districts vote yes, a binding referendum vote will take place February 29th.
Polls will be open in all four districts from noon to 8:00.
