Albany, NY (WIBX) - Senator Joseph Griffo, (R-Rome) rose to speak and give a silent tribute in the Senate last week to honor the memory of Sheriff Deputy Kurt Wyman. Wyman was shot and killed after a six hour stand-off with suspect, Christian Patterson, in the Town of Augusta on Tuesday June 7, 2011. Griffo gave an emotional statement about Wyman, his family, his service to his country as a Marine, and commended his ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day when he was shot and killed trying to protect others.
