Griffo To Serve On Main Budget Conference Committee

With budget negotiations continuing in Albany, Senator Joseph Griffo is serving on the state Legislature's main Budget Conference Committee.

Other members of the committee include Senate Minority Leader John Flanagan, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb.

Griffo says he's concerened that the recent budget proposals would add billions of dollars in new taxes and fees.

The Senate Deputy Minority Leader also says the state needs to find ways to invest more in education and infrastructure, as well as provide real and meaningful tax relief.

The state fiscal year ends on March 31st.
