Hamilton Woman Barricades Herself Inside Home

Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Quarterline Road in the Town of Hamilton on Monday morning for a reported suicidal female.

Deputies say the woman had barricaded herself inside her home and threatened to kill herself by way of a gun or ingesting pills.

Hostage negotiators were called to the scene and were able to convince the woman to exit the house within two hours.

The woman was not injured and was subsequently transported to a medical facility for treatment.

The Sheriff’s office seized six long guns from the residence.
