Congressman Richard Hanna has announced an $85 million Pentagon contract for PAR Government Systems in Rome.
PAR will now develop advanced reconnaissance and intelligence surveillance hardware and software that will assist U.S. troops in gathering battlefield intelligence.

The new technology PAR will provide will allow for better defense against guerilla warfare, improvised explosive devices and other ground attacks that have been historically unpredictable.

The contract will allow PAR to keep 8 to 10 personnel dedicated to the project which accounts for 15% of the Rome local corporate staff.

Hanna says he is pleased that the defense industry recognizes PAR's quality workforce by awarding them this contract.
