Hartwick Hosts Conference On Science Of Craft Brewing

ONEONTA, N.Y. (AP) — Hartwick College is hosting a conference on the science of craft brewing this weekend.

The Farmer Brewer Winter Weekend conference runs Saturday and Sunday at the liberal arts college about 65 miles west of Albany.

The college's Center for Craft Food & Beverage says it expects more than 100 farmers and brewers from around the country. Talks this year will focus on the biochemistry of the malting process.

There will also be tastings of beers featuring local ingredients.
