Oneida County could be in line for very heavy rainfall Tuesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service says there is the potential for 'torrential downpours' and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening which could result in localized flash flooding. The threat of heavy rain and flooding continues into Wednesday as Tropical Storm Barry passed the Northeast.

Additional chances of showers and thunderstorms exist on Thursday, and through the weekend. Temps are expected in the mid-to-upper 80s through the week, and may climb into the lower 90s on Friday and Saturday.
