Herkimer Police Investigating the Death of a West Lake Avenue Resident [UPDATE]

The Herkimer Police Department is investigating the death of a West Lake Avenue resident.

According to Police Chief Michael Jory, officers were called to the residence at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

During the investigation, police discovered the body of one occupant and another individual was brought to the Herkimer Police Department for an interview.

A search warrant was obtained and police began to process the scene. This investigation is still underway and we will provide more details as the become available.

UPDATED 12:19 p.m.- A Herkimer man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a body at a home on West Lake Avenue.

58-year old Richard Howard is charged with concealing a human corpse

Herkimer Police are expected to release more information on the investigation this afternoon.
